Specifications Drafting
North Hollywood Sanitation TI Specifications
Drafted specifications files to assist with the bidding processes for NHSY tenant improvement. This task included transitioning to 6-digit MasterFormat and including all furnishings and LEED requirements for the project to communicate required criteria and materials to developers and contractors accurately.
Researched the relationships between 1995 and 2004 MasterFormat specifications divisions in order to pave transition to 2004 format for firm. This task required research on both versions of MasterFormat, and required developing addendum documents to attach for bidders and contractors.
Research and Internship Experience
Greek Theatre and Los Angeles Mall TIs
Softwares introduced include Revit, Bluebeam, and Autocad which are used daily by mechanical engineers in the MEP field within the Bureau of Engineering. During my internship, I absorbed the office work the engineers performed which included pressure drop calculations for plumbing systems using Excel.
Drawing reviews were conducted at site walks to compare construction with CAD. During the site walks, my supervisor walked me through how to conduct a site visit and communicate with construction crews and contractors. During the site walk, a code violation was discovered due to improper construction of handrails at the Greek Theatre which was discussed and corrected on site.
